VDI Calculator v5.5 is Now Available with Nutanix and Multi-Language Support
Today I am announcing the General Availability of the new VDI Calculator v5.5. This new version introduces support for Nutanix node and cluster calculation, and muti-language UI support for English, Chinese and Spanish.
To use the Nutanix calculation select Nutanix in the Infrastructure Model drop-down menu and select the node type to be used. As of today the calculator supports NX-3050 and NX-3060. Next release will also support the NX-7000 series.
When Nutanix calculation is enabled all non-applicable fields in the calculator and disabled, making it simpler to configure the workload.
I would like to acknowledge the great work from Frank Fan (@frankfan7) and Javier Larea (@javichumellamo) for their contributions for the multi-language support.
Important Notes
- Java will request authorization to execute. This will be fixed for the next release.
- There is a known issue when loading a saved calculation with more than 1 desktop type. In this case you must first open the amount of Desktop Tabs you want to load from the saved file. You do that clicking on (+) and (-).
- Nutanix calculation is only supported for Horizon View deployments. For the next release I will add XenDesktop and Hyper-V support for Nutanix.

Hi Andre
Any chance to also get the other models from Nutanix included? Would be great!

@banc, any specific Nutanix models you would like to see on the calculator?

Hi Andre
Ideally I would like to see all of them (I'm with a Nutanix partner in Switzerland). Can you also tell me why CBRC ist disabled when I select Nutanix? Based on an official Nutanix document its recommended to activate it.
Thanks!
Sam

@banc, I have written before about "CBRC-like Functionality For Any VDI Solution with Nutanix" please check it at https://myvirtualcloud.net/?p=5856.
I will include to work additional nodes, but don't guarantee all of them.

Great, that's very helpful! Hope to see the calculator extended with other Nutanix models. I believe so far we sold 1050s and 3050s but we also work on a project with a 7000 system.
