Tools

Things I built because I needed them. Each one has its project on GitHub.

  • Ollama GPU Calculator

Check whether a GPU can run an Ollama model, and see estimated VRAM, tokens per second, and power. Pick a model size and a card; the readout updates as you go.

  • VDI Calculator

Size a virtual desktop deployment in the browser. It estimates host CPU and memory, storage and IOPS, cluster counts, and a starting Azure instance from a Windows 11 worker profile. Calculations stay on your machine.

  • GrammarFix

A macOS menu bar app. Select text in any app, press the shortcut, and the selection is replaced with a corrected version. It can use Apple’s on-device model, or an API key for OpenRouter, Claude, or OpenAI. Signed, notarised, and installable with Homebrew.

  • PlayerPing

Availability for a team that does not want another app. Captains keep a roster and ping players by SMS, WhatsApp, or email. Players tap to confirm. You see who is in, in real time. Built for tennis interclub; it works for any team sport.
