VMware View Security Hardening and Anti-Virus Practices White Papers

VMware has recently released two new updated white papers for it’s VMware View VDI platform.

A white paper is an authoritative report or guide that helps solve a problem. White papers are used to educate readers and help people make decisions. (Wikipedia)

VMware View Security Hardening Practices Draft (version 3)

This document provides hardening practices you can consider to secure your View production environment. The information is aggregated from multiple expert’s input and by no means to serve as the only or final guide. There will be different variations based on your use case and production environment.

I am particularly happy with the release of this document because it uses some of my articles as reference, and provide URL links to them. I am also listed as co-author, and this is my first VMware authored white paper.

VMware View Anti-Virus Practices Update (version 2)

This is a revision for the Anti-Virus Practices for VMware View. The contents are generally applicable to the View 4.5 or later build. If you have any good anti-virus practices you deploy for your organization, please contribute back to the community.
