Professional Update

I thought I should update you with what is going on in my professional life right now and how this will affect, or not,  my ability to produce new content for the blog.

Last Friday was a special day as I finished a long lasting, 6 years, work relationship with TeleTech. Next week I am starting with Technical Arquitecture Solutions (TAS) as their Senior Virtualization Consultant for New South Wales (Australia). TAS is a technical leading edge company focused in infrastructure and specialized in virtualization for medium and large organizations. Their fields of expertise are:

  • Fail over capability evaluation.
  • Fail over capability design and implementation.
  • High availability or business continuity capability evaluation.
  • High availability or business continuity capability design and implementation.
  • Performance analysis and tuning services.
  • Capacity planning consultancy.
  • Data Center and Unix integration services.
  • Management of medium to large-scale implementations for clients.
  • Security certification / design and consultancy services.
  • Recovery consultancy.
  • Load balancing (local and Geographical) design and integration.

I am certain it will be a long, successful and enriching experience but as any new job I will probably be up to my neck with new projects, customers and engagements. This will most certainly affect my IDLE time and consequently my posts.

However I DO expect to come up with more interesting and technical posts as I start consulting outside siloed environments. The outside world will provide me with amazing challenges and experiences and it will certainly enrich my knowledge and I will share it with you.

Also, as most of you already know I have passed on VMware VCP410 exam. I am starting to prepare for the Citrix CCA (XenApp 5.0) exam. I have been using PS4.0 and 4.5 for few years now. Any tips?

Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter as in couple weeks the Sydney Virtualization Forum takes off and I will be providing feeds directly from the event. For more information about the vForum click here.

The unofficial Twitter hash tag is #vforum
