Celebrate good times, come on!

I have never enjoyed IT like the present, since the BBS (Bulletin Board Systems) and FIDONet times. I used to own and run a RemoteAccess BBS with amazing 5 phone lines. Those were great times, the beginning of the internet era and the start of networked computing.

Those days are over, but virtualisation along with cloud-computing and the whole underlying infrastructure, has revived that long lost IT passion feeling in me.

It’s good to be involved once again in forum discussions, writing articles, running a blog, and hosting the virtualisation podcast for the APAC region. If you have not yet joined us please don’t hesitate, read Virtualisation Roundtable.

In one week, I’ll be joining VMware as a Senior PSO Consultant for APAC region with core focus on VDI & View4. I’m looking forward to be joining an already established and respected team.

As mentioned by other bloggers that have been hired by VMware, EMC and other organizations, I will not change my blogging but surely there will be a new disclaimer mentioning that this is a personal blog and not a VMware blog. Also, it’s not news to anyone that I am a VMware supporter, but I will always be open to discuss other technologies, products and mindsets.

I’m really looking forward to my new role at VMware and am confident that the good times will continue……..Celebrate good times, come on!

Congratulations Andrei, we’ll be watching to see if your POV doesn’t stray to much towards VMware.
