Feature Update to VDI Calculator v4.1

Hello all,

I have just released a new version of the VDI Calculator – 4.1. This is a small release that introduces a new feature that tells you when the calculator is out-of-date. I have implemented this feature after observing that many people are using an old version of the calculator.

What’s New

  • Added auto version checking.
  • Added vendor logo display when sponsored calculation is selected
  • Fixed host high-availability calculation issue
  • Fixed “Desktop per Host” unit  when using Print option
  • Few UI improvements

I thought would be nice to share some of the analytics behind the calculator. In the past 30 days you have used the calculator 2,587 times. That’s awesome! For this reason I am working on a new feature that will allow you to upload your sizing numbers to share with the VDI community. This feature will also allow VDI professional services companies to identify their VDI implementations and provide their contact details in a nicely customized web page provided in my blog. All Free!

Thanks for update, can you please increase CPU number to maximum 4 vCPU?
We have to increase our virtual CPU for resolve our voice issue on virtual desktops with USB headset and I have to change host analyze manually.

    Hi,
I think, it has problem on storage detail, because “Disposable Disk” won’t be changed even after change “Disposable Disk Size” to another value.

Davoud, the disposable disks will only change or decrease the amount of required storage if you set the number of concurrent virtual desktops to a lower number than the total number of virtual desktops. I just tested and it works fine.
